Student Visa (Subclass 500)

Study in Australia with a pathway to permanent residency

The Student Visa (Subclass 500) allows international students to live, study, and work part-time in Australia while completing a full-time course at a CRICOS-registered institution such as a university, TAFE, or English language college.

It’s the primary visa for those who wish to pursue education in Australia and later transition to a Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485) or a Permanent Residency (PR) pathway through skilled migration.

Why Choose a Student Visa in Australia?

  • Access world-class education and training institutions

  • Gain work experience while studying (up to 48 hours per fortnight)

  • Include your partner and children in the same visa application

  • Enjoy a clear post-study pathway to Graduate Visa (485) and PR options
